SSE PROJECT is an independent publishing house and online gallery based in Seoul, South Korea. SSE is short for “Special Solo Exhibition”. It signifies that artists present their works by themselves. Founded in July 2008 by a contemporary artist, YP YOO, SSE PROJECT promotes young contemporary artists through online solo exhibitions. The company publishes small-format art zines in parallel with the online shows, SSE BOOKs which introduce noteworthy artists throughout the world and “Girls on Film & Boys on Film” series curated by Igor Termenon.
